Remembering

There are things in our lives that we will always remember. What has occurred over the years, no matter how trivial, will shape the destiny of those to come.

I plan to share family stories, some of which I experienced, some of which were shared by Mother who was the family historian on both sides of the family. I realized in her later years (she died at 91) that some of the stories changed in the telling. As with all family tales, there are as many versions as there are family members.

Those who came before

Mother’s side of the family is well documented with the Mistrot-Segura Story, published by Mistrot Cartier, copyright 1965. I have vague memories of the process because Mother typed the manuscript on an Underwood manual typewriter on spirit masters, the poor-mans way of publishing. I digitized the manuscript and plan to pick up where it left off.
